Woodland Pipeline Extension Project
Enbridge is proposing to develop the Woodland Pipeline Extension Project (the “Project”) which would bring additional crude oil transportation capacity into the Edmonton area by 2014. This capacity is needed to meet our forecast of regional oil sands volume targeted for delivery into the Edmonton hub.
This new pipeline would run from our existing Enbridge Athabasca Cheecham Terminal to the Enbridge Pipelines Inc. Edmonton Terminal, effectively extending the Woodland Pipeline which is currently in development with a planned in-service date of September 2012. The Project includes:
- Approximately 385-km pipeline with a diameter of up to 914 mm (36 inches) to transport blended bitumen from Cheecham Terminal to Edmonton Terminal.
-
One new pump station consisting of four 5,750 HP pump units and related piping and meters to be located at the existing Roundhill Station.
-
One new pump station consisting of three 5,750 HP pump units and related piping and meters to be located at the existing Cheecham Terminal.
